Justice denied

The refusal of prosecutors to investigate whether State Supreme Court Employee Mike Gableman made political calls from his office is disheartening. One Wisconsin Now asked the Government Accountability Board, two district attorneys and State Attorney General JB Van Hollen to investigate the calls Gableman made back when he was Ashland County district attorney.

None of them did. Instead, they ducked and weaved and passed the issue around until the statute of limitations expired. The man who stopped at nothing to win was pre-emptively protected by people sworn to uphold and enforce the law.

The word "Justice" should not sit next to the name "Mike Gableman."

with the interest the newspaper has shown in this, certainly it should track down the recipients of these calls and ask what they were about.
