Not quite pothole hell

During the most recent Common Council Judiciary and Legislation Committee, a Department of Public Works fellow said city potholes are generally fixed within two business days of being reported. Ald. Jim Bohl got somewhat miffed about this ridiculous assertion, but then aldermen get calls from constituents really crabby about potholes not being fixed for weeks after being reported. I was somewhat aghast and amused and awed by the audacity of Mr. DPW's statement: wow, now that's another six weeks in purgatory.

Now if only they can somehow figure away out to collect the garbage.
