MPS wi-max up and running

MPS' wireless wi-max system, which eventually will be available to students and staff, is up and running in a testing phase.

Well, the idea sounds good, but I fear more MPS quicksand sucking up good intentions once again. Beleive me, I don't want to be the pessimist on this one, but it hasn't even started yet and people are getting the short end of the stick. Hawley road school was told all 5th graders would receive laptops for WiFi test (close to central), sorry, just kidding. Again, I would like to think the best, but how are (MPS) kids going to be able to be responsible for, and keep secure a laptop computer. We need computer literate children, it just would be nice if we could start with regular computers that work in the classroom. With that said, "good luck WiFi". John
