Republicans want it both ways

The Wisconsin League of Municipalities and the Wisconsin Alliance of Cities got it exactly right when they said a Republican-sponsored bill that would force communities to compensate owners of property affected by zoning ordinances was not consistent with the Republican-backed TABOR movement.

The bill, which was defeated this month but will probably be back next year, could cost local governments millions or billions of dollars that Republicans don't want local governments to be able to spend.

You can do one or the other, folks. You can't do both, and you shouldn't do either.
